How We Review: BET88's Criteria, Written Down
BET88 is an independent guide — not a casino, and not an operator: no deposits, no games, no player balances. When this site describes an operator it is reading what that operator publishes, and this page lists exactly which questions we ask, what an answer has to look like to count, and the claims we will not make at all. 21+ only.
The seven criteria
| Criterion | What counts as an answer | What a blank means |
|---|---|---|
| Licence disclosure | A named licensee and a named regulator, in text, on the operator's own pages | A logo with no text is not a disclosure, and we record that it is missing |
| Payment rails | Named rails, plus the cashier stating its own limits and cut-offs | If the cashier will not state its limits you cannot plan around them |
| Terms clarity | Wagering, expiry and maximum-bet rules findable and legible in one read | Terms that need three readings are a cost, and we say so |
| KYC rules | A written list of documents and the point at which verification triggers | Unstated rules mean verification arrives at the worst moment |
| Complaint route | Escalation beyond first-line chat, with a regulator named | No route out of the chat window means no route at all |
| Responsible-gaming tools | Deposit limits, reminders, cooling-off and self-exclusion, with instructions | Tools you must request from support are tools that arrive late |
| Support and app distribution | Channels and hours, plus where the app comes from and how it updates | Outside a store, an undocumented download route is a real risk |
The third column is the part that matters most in practice. Most operator pages in this market are judged not by what they claim but by what they decline to say, and we write the silence down rather than filling it in.
What this site can check
- Whether a statement exists in the operator's own words, on its own pages, rather than in an advert.
- Whether its pages contradict each other — a banner against the promotion terms is the classic case.
- Whether a complaint can travel past the chat window, and to whom.
- Whether responsible-gaming controls are self-service or gated behind a support request.
- Whether an app download route is documented at all.
- Whether terms are written to inform or written to deter.
What this site cannot check
We hold no accounts and run no tests against any cashier, so a short list of questions is permanently out of reach — and we would rather print the list than imply we have answers.
- How long a withdrawal takes. Timing is set by the operator and the rail; the operator's cashier page is the only live source.
- Whether a bonus will be honoured in your specific case, under terms that can change after we read them.
- Whether a game's advertised RTP matches the configuration running in a particular lobby.
- How support behaves on its worst day.
- Anything about your account, which we cannot see and never will.
Wherever a number belongs to an operator — a minimum, a fee, a limit, a processing window, a bonus amount — the sentence on this site says it is set by the operator and points at the cashier page. That is not evasiveness. It is the difference between a page that stays true and a page that was true in July.
No scores, no rankings, no invented authors
There is no rating out of ten here and no list of 'top' operators. A score flattens seven unrelated findings into one digit, then asks you to trust the digit rather than the findings. It also freezes: terms move and the number stays on the page looking confident.
We also do not invent reviewers. Pages are published under the site's own name rather than under a fabricated expert with a stock photograph, because a fake author is a worse signal than no author at all, and the credentials are the first thing a reader cannot verify.
Partner links and what they do not buy
Some links out of this site are partner links and may earn us a commission if you register after clicking one. You are entitled to know that before the click, so it is here rather than in small print.
The line we hold: a commercial relationship can put a link on the page and nothing else. No operator previews a draft, no payment adds or removes a finding, and if a partner's terms are vague the page records that they are vague. We would rather publish an inconvenient finding than describe an undisclosed licence as though it were disclosed.
Dates, corrections and staleness
Each page carries its publication and modification dates. Our defence against going stale is structural: explain the mechanism, point to the operator's live page for the figure. A page about how a rail settles is still accurate next year; a page quoting a fee is often wrong within a month.
If we have something wrong, say so through the contact route on the about page and name the sentence. Corrections are the cheapest form of credibility available to a site like this one.
What BET88 is
An independent guide, and nothing else. Not a casino, not an operator, not an agent: no deposits taken, no games run, no balances held, no disputes settled. If something needs doing to an account, the route is the operator's support in writing, then your e-wallet's in-app help, then PAGCOR's published complaint channel.
Everything here is written for adults aged 21 and over and treats gambling as paid entertainment with a cost decided in advance, never as income.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you score or rank operators?
No. Seven criteria are reported separately, in words, including when the answer is that the operator does not disclose it.
Do you test cashiers or time withdrawals?
No, and we never write that we did. We hold no accounts. Processing times belong to the operator and its payment rail.
Why does 'not disclosed' appear so often?
Because it is frequently the truth, and it is informative. An operator that will not name its licensee in plain text has told you something.
Are the outbound links paid?
Some are partner links which may pay a commission. They do not change the wording on the page, and no operator sees a draft.
Why are there no author names?
Because we will not invent them. Pages are published under the site's name; a fabricated byline with unverifiable credentials is worse than none.
Why not just print the fees and minimums?
Because they change and a frozen figure misleads. We explain what drives them and send you to the operator's cashier page for the current number.
Can you contact an operator on my behalf?
No. We have no access to operator systems or to your account. The escalation ladder is on our scams page and in the operator's complaints policy.
